Abstract
The regional distributions and relative frequencies of endocrine cells in Gastrin(gastrin, CCK) and Secretin(secretin, glucagon, glicentin, GIP) families were studied immunohistochemically in the gastrnintestinal tract of the Manchurian chipmunk, tamias sibiricus asiaticus. Gastrin-immunoreactive cells were found in the stomach end small intestine, and these cells were most predominat in the pyloric gland region. CCK-, secretin-, and GIP-immunoreactive cells were observed in small intestine and a few numbers of glucagon-immunoreactive cells were seen in the stomach, but gradually decreased distally along the small intestine. A few numbers of glicentin-immunoreactive cells were restricted to the intestines.
